Hey guys,

My birthday is around the corner (May 26). I don’t usually ask for presents, but this year I’ve decided to make an exception. I’m asking (actually more like begging) everyone to donate a dollar (although a bigger amount would be very much appreciated) to http://www.CharityWater.org and give clean water to people who need it.

Almost a billion people on the planet don’t have access to clean drinking water. Every day, 5,000 kids die from water-related illnesses before they reach their fifth birthday.

Every dollar (yes 1 dollar if converted to these places will go a looong way!) donated to my birthday campaign will be used to build clean water projects in developing countries. The best part is that charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the impact we made.

I can't think of a better birthday gift. Please, let's Meki't happen!
